Trek to Landruk

Where Next ??

Because Pokhara is beautiful not only because of what it earthen inside, but also because of what you see around standing in a place. I would recommend a place that follows few kilometres away from the center following the baglung highway if you are in Pokhara for a short period of time and can't resist to see what city hand extends. Trip to Landruk can be an ideal one for you.

Halfway to dhampus
It offers you the best view of Annapurna range, sunrise and sunset, traditional Gurung culture, top of all a peace of mind away from city hubbub and the best part about this trip is it takes your 48 hours to give you memories of lifetime. With Mardi Himal and Ghandruk nearby, different trails is sure to make you cling into the place.

Beautiful traditional houses seen in the way to Landruk.

Trip kick starts with short drive to Phedi from Pokhara which takes about an hour and then another hour of steep climbing which follows less steep climb through the forest and the stone paved staircase until you reach the top of ridge.

Porters getting back from ABC Trek.

Continue to walk for another 30 minutes and you step into dirt road. As you see nobody's road is paved perfectly, that dirt road leads you to significant scene you'd love to see.

Beautiful Annapurna south as seen from Landruk.
Dhampus village is the first village you see with Annapurna, Machhapuchhre as well as Dhaulagiri range welcoming you. You can call it a day in here, stay in Dhampus village, roam around, enjoy the moment Gurung community has to offer or you can continue your walk(trek) up to Australian Base Camp or Pothana and rest your boots for the day.

Mesmerizing sunrise as seen from Dhampus.
Next morning, first thing you'll witness is golden beams of rays on your face; the best sunrise with the backdrop of Annapurna range. The walk to Landruk continues with rhododendron forest and Mardi Khola bouncing down the hill and the panoramic views of Annapurna Range until you reach Deurali. From Deurali you can either continue your walk to Landruk or follow the trail to Mardi Himal.

Jaw Dropping Annapurna Range as seen from Pothana.
From Deurali you can either continue your walk to Landruk or follow the trail to Mardi Himal.
After walking for hardly two to three hours from Deurali you can reach Landruk. You can enjoy scenic Annapurna Range with traditional Gurung community to visit. You will love to spend your time here away from honk honk of the city .You can either make your trip longer by continuing trip to Ghandruk or jump into a jeep from Landruk concluding your two days trip & the best part is it is pretty affordable, Rs 1500 per day would be more than enough for you .

Stunning Annapurna South welcomes you upon reaching Landruk.
